My EX BG Maxi Caddy build

When you said you’d been speaking to Heff, I had a feeling you’d gone for a V6.
Yeah the v6 will sound good, especially with your exhaust.
I’m assuming you can still keep that exhaust?

I take it you’re doing the swap yourself? Brave man if you are mate....I’d never have the balls and I have the upmost admiration for those who have!

Savage! Just watched a guy on YT with a V6 caddy and then see this. Can’t wait to see the results.

@peter
Yeah I’m doing the swap with a friend (two heads as they say) I will keep the exhaust system but adapt it for the V6.

@oldgregg
I’m looking forward to seeing finished

@hef
No you didn’t influence me at all.
It was the sound of your caddy that did it 🤣

@C Chris
I got the engine and all the bits that I need for the conversion form a guy in Scotland

Yes Sean!

I have to admit since hearing Hef's 36 I have been considering the R32 over the TFSI project but I'm so far away from it that it's neither here nor there at the moment! Can't wait to see your progress. Will have to try and meet you at some point as well seeing you're just a bit up the road! Would live to see the project in motion! Good luck!

@Sean. Nice one mate. I’m sure you’ll learn a lot. Goes without saying there’ll be plenty of help on here from the experts if you need it.

@Hef, yes the blame lies squarely at your door I’m sure

@Sean1066
I'm deep down in Cornwall! Means I have to travel for ages to get anywhere But its not a bad place to live in all honesty. It would take me a little under 2 hours to get to you. Yes Hef's video has made me wonder about my route as well, it will likely be the whichever route I can do on the best budget, but the V6 burble just gets me ever since I had my old VR6 years ago, I'm a bit if a sucker for it. TFSI is much more tunable however. Swings and roundabouts really...

Well as I can’t start work on the conversion yet I thought I would get my summer wheels ready to put on tomorrow.
Gave them a good scrub and treated them to wheel armour C5

12 hours drying time so I can’t put them on until tomorrow.
