Re: My EX BG Maxi Caddy build
Thanks guys for all your kind words and encouragement.
Manage to get a lot of the wiring into the ecu connector today. Had to change all the pin on the caddy ecu wires to the Audi pin as they are slightly different.
Just the lambdas, air mass and 2 fuses to put in the ecu.
Then take out the unused caddy wiring.
Hopefully I will get that done Wednesday.
That’s the plan

Re: My EX BG Maxi Caddy build
Well you make a plan then someone always puts a spanner in the works.
Not been able to work on the caddy that much this week as work has been mental. But managed to get so much needed time on it this afternoon.
Got the new to me subframe in.
With new stretch bolts.
Got the exhaust bolted up with the 4 new lambda bolted in
And then got some more of the wiring done
Next on the wiring is the fuse box wiring and still got to remove the unused caddy wiring

Re: My EX BG Maxi Caddy build
was it cut the blue wire or cut the red wire?
That looks both great & frightening at the same time.

@11ATL
Most of the wiring is done now just got to put two relays in, run wires for two fuses and then tape it all up and the wiring is done.
Should be back on the ground this week all being well

Sounds good, how big is the instruction manual for this, take it's a tad bigger than an IKEA Wardrobe instructions?Sean1066 wrote:@11ATL

Just a little up date the down pipe is now connected to the exhaust.
All the wiring is getting taped up.
Hopefully I will have it running by Saturday night

Re: My EX BG Maxi Caddy build
Been at it again today.
Got the new cluster in (with blue needles)
Tried to see if the engine would turn over today and it did.
So now the next step is to sort out some of the errors that have came up with a scan.
Sorted out some of them already.
