@robblowen
I did think about having all 4 done but for now I’ve just had the one done as I have a plan to upgrade them all to dark side injectors at some stage.

@mtb993
It would be nice to have a photo shoot and see it in nice settings.
Maybe one day I will get the opportunity to have it done.
I do get some people asking me if they can take a photo.

Can I please ask how much of a ball ache was it to cut the touran doorcards to fit the caddy? And how difficult was it to fit the leather door armrest covers? Thanks in advance :D

@stickertone
It was quite simple to cut the Touran door cards.
All I did was make a template of my caddy door cards and transferred it over to the Touran ones.
As for the door armrest covers I ended up buying leather door cards in the end. Which was a lot easier than trying to cover them myself 😉

Cracking build thread this one!
Just joined up to the forum, thinking of an ex- BG van myself. Just shows what they can be with a bit of work and some good deals!

@Irvine
Thank you. I’m glad you like it.
If you do go for an EX BG caddy try and find a 2.0l. As some of the 1.6l seam to have a problem with the injectors
But I have only found 2.0l in a mk4

Thanks for the advice, any pointers are much appreciated at the moment as I am new to the Caddy world. Had a few diesel Mk5 golfs in the past and they were cracking motors.
Unsure yet whether to go for a SWB or a Maxi, will be putting in rear seats but still want it to be practical to use as a van.

@Giddy
Not really. It’s more time consuming than anything else work doesn’t really come in to it.

Got all the wiring in for the dash this morning (speaker’s and the glovebox light and the footwell lights) finally got it done about 1:30 and I hate running wires.Image

@Sean1066

Well that looks amazing Sean! I’d rather be welding or grinding than doing ANYTHING inside the van lol! Hands are too big
