P.S Sean ... who else has done the 4 motion you mentioned? James 400 has done his too if you look at his top build also!

@hef
Thanks for all your help.
As for the 4wd that at the moment is a long way off.
At the moment I just want to enjoy the VR6 and have some fun🤣
(but I’m liking the turbo idea 🤔)

Nice! I am on the hunt for my first Caddy and have seen a lot of BG Caddy's up for grabs at the end of their lease, but none in as nice condition as yours - I guess patience is a virtue. Keep up the good work and thanks for the inspiration.

@BaronRocket
There are a lot of them out there you just have to find the right one for you. I must have seen about 5 or 6 different ones. All I was looking for was nice body work with low mileage and that what I found in the end.
Thanks for taking the time to read my build thread and I’m glad it inspired you to carry on looking for the one you want.

Sean, what is involved with changing the engine on the logbook exactly? Evidence and paperwork wise?

You don't need an MOT to change the log book, just send DVLA a letter specifying that you've removed engine number ******* and fitted engine number ********* which was donated by vehicle registration number ##**###. Specify the fuel system has been changed if you've gone diesel to petrol and you should get a new V5 back in a couple of weeks. Very simple process, I've done and helped others do it a few times
I'm not even sure of the legality of someone doing an MOT on a vehicle registered with a diesel engine when it's got a petrol engine fitted, emissions testing parameters are different for both.

@Doc
The mot will be changed from diesel to petrol at the mot station for the emissions. They can change the engine size from 1.6 to 3.2 and diesel to petrol.

@Lister thanks buddy.
@hef Some people seam to take a lot better photos than I ever could. As for next year that would be awesome.
As for the silver van he covered the van behind him in dirt when he started up his engine and gave it a bit of a wellie.
The guy wasn’t happy but everyone rallied round to clean it off for him.
