Mk IV Caddy 2.0 102 Startline BMT

Post by ViralEye » Mon Dec 03, 2018 12:19 pm

Having never a really owning a van before, it's taken me a while to take the plunge and PX my car in for a Caddy and so far so good!

This will probably be a long project but I'll try and keep you all updated along the way Image

Thank you Liam!! Was undecided if to go with an older model and save some cash, or go couple of years old, warranty etc but completely bog standard

So... Decided the bulkhead was going to come out tonight, but realised it fouled with the floor so got a bit carried away.. out came all the ply!ImageImageImage

What gear stick is that? I hate the bog standard caddy ones

Just an eBay one - think it was like £12 or something. I'm 99% certain it's not genuine but it'll do the job till funds allow to get something better/original

I have one of those but with red stitching, great value for money. Wouldn't mind the matching handbrake lever but at £50 they can go swivel

Have a look on eBay or breakers, for a complete handbrake, sometimes they are cheaper than the covers also they will be genuine VW covers.

Was fairly straight forward. The gaitors are stapled on so removing them was the hardest bit. Once off I have literally just pushed the new one into place - it clamps between the inner and outer surround so shouldn't slip off
