Great looking build mate! Would live to hear what you think of the coil overs once you get them fitted.
I’m trying to decide what to go for but these look really nice!

They're being fitted 7th march so will let you know. Only thing I've heard is a problem and not unique to Caddys, is the camber plate which isn't accessable due to the dome type thing ontop of the strut which a lot of people cut off. Just means if camber needs adjusting you've got to take the whole shock off. I don't plan to be adjusting camber, but more concerned if speed bumps etc manage to move the adjustment then it's not a 5 minute job to fix

So today hasn't been a good day Image

One of my rub strips decided it wasnt going to stick properly so decided to take it off and with some fresh 3m tape at home the plan was to simply refit.... But... Whilst re-taping up the strip the edges of the paint decided to flake away which wouldn't overly bother me, but they just look s**t now so the long and short of it, I've ordered brand new rub strips from vw and I'll give them a coat of gtechnic C4 to get them ultra black and I'll leave them completely unpainted

For the time being I've just silicones it back onto the van so at least I can give the van a clean ready for tomorrow's ccuk north west meet

Am I expecting too much having plastics painted? Is it the body shop at fault? Or just one of those things that happens?

After speaking with a few other people, seems that this is quite a common problem!! Least I'm not on my own with this but getting black plastics anyway and see how I get on respraying the old ones myself.... In the meantime though, just ordered a TRC splitter and dropped a deposit on a painted rail cover!!!

Coming together nicely ImageImage

And now we have some much needed lows!!

Unfortunately the garages alignment equipment had broken so could do anything other than fit them, but I'm gonna let the suspension settle first anyway.

It's a little crashy over bumps at slower speeds but other that they're great,... But as this is my first ever set of coilovers I have fitted to a vehicle I wasn't sure what to expect!

Also had a little caddy meet with @Fonzi and Peanut to show it off a little ImageImageImageImageImage

Turns out it's rubbing my arches liner on the rear ever so slightly Image. Need to stiffen up the rear and soften the fronts anyway

And yes, my arch liner does have a big chunk missing from it ImageImageImage

Good work mate van looks awesome... My van has been lowerd about a year now and it's on the second lowest setting so I can still get tools in and tow trailers etc... But it still rubs the arc liners only going over speed bumps at speed that's the only thing but she does handle great on the road 😂

Cheers dude. I think the garage have done well with the height as I can get over speed bumps etc with no scraping, but the noise from that bloody arch liner Image I'm gonna get some heat into it and see if I can form or away from the tyre a little
