So here is what it’s like at the moment, it will be a slow build but I will gradually build away. I’m all new to this, no experience what so ever so feel free to advice me or correct me alone the way.

So Just washed the caddy, haven’t got any cleaning kits yet other than cheep all in one shampoo and wax soap. Not bad i guess!

More pics after just having a wash. Beads up a little bit but not much. Want to get some Autoglym kit soon so I can clay bar and wax to try and shine it up a bit!

Have also added a roof rack for my ladders, will try and limit as much as possible having ladders on the caddy. Will use pole system mostly to which I need to install! I will update on that when I know the best option.

Well hope you like so far got some plans and mods I would like to enhance the look of the caddy but concentrating on my window cleaning equipment first.

Have the van a good clean when I had chance to, there is no wax on, just a simple shampoo wash.
Saving up for som Autoglym stuff so hopefully be able to spend a good day on the van once I have that. Image

It's been a while since I last posted due to being busy with work and the unfortunate pandemic that we all facing at the moment but finally, I have fixed all the locking issues with the van. Wasn't cheep unfortunately. On the drivers door I had replaced the following:
Drivers door central locking unit.
Drivers door latch.

Passenger sliding door:
Central locking unit.
Latch.
Contact switch.
Another Contact switch. (in piller)
I had to scrape the barrel for those repairs. :(
All of these parts that I had replaced, all had fault codes on and was all the parts causing alarm to go off.

The next issue... (nope it doesn't stop there :( )

On way home from a 2 hour journey, I had the glow plug warning light appear and van went into limp mode, I was half way home at this point.
Managed to get it home safely and took it to my local garage who I never normally use, but thought it's only a walk away from home.
A fault came up regarding the EGR and said I needed a new EGR valve. I nearly collapse after the price they quoted me to have this replaced.
So i then took it to a well known vw specialist not far from my home QTH. He said the same thing but mentioned that we can blank EGR and have it remapped for me to solve the issue at the quarter of the price.
It was something I wanted done for a while so it was a no brainer.

My 1.6 tdi Is now running 150bhp with egr blank. Very happy with the result. I wanted a custom remap but need to get van fix ASAP as its my source of income with the work I do, so software remap it was.

So here you are really, nothing updated in terms of the look of the van. Would love to fit some Genuine 19" VW Phaeton Helios Alloys soon but that will have to go on the back burner for next foreseeable future.
