Hi Pat cracking job mate!
Where did you get the mirrors from please? Really interested in a set myself, are they a direct fit , i.e plug and play, and a costing if you don’t mind?

I got them from travelinlite....they sell on their websit or ebay...... I got the Black covers, and flatted them back. There is very little texture and it didn't take long. The toughest bit was the aerial, which was in my drivers side. You can take it off the existing, remove the plastic surround it is attached to, and fit it in the case of the new one.....took a bit of sussing out, but I was a few cans of Stella in by this time!

I washed it.... but I’m not putting any pictures up until stu stops!!

But....! Don’t you just hate it when you find a scratch that wasn’t there before??? Flipping blimmin blinders!

So glad I went to the trouble of washing it last night, and drying it with one of those new fangled drying towels.....waste of bloody time that was!

Can’t remember how long ago I did these now, but the plastidip is holding up perfectly!

Anyway.... I thought I got away with using rustoleum lacquer over the 2k lacquer when I ran out, mid final coat a couple of weeks ago... wrong!!
It’s reacted badly.... and has been getting worse in this heat?? Is that a thing? So I’ve been sanding the bastid most of the afternoon, in between solicitor stuff. Angry sanding... it’s the new normal!

Yes mate... One came out perfectly, but the other needed doing again, After I flatted back to the primer!
Thats when I ran out of lacquer and used some rustoleum, as i thought 'bugger it, I've got to do it again anyway...'

It looked fine, but then reacted over a couple of weeks!

At least you know where you went wrong mate.

I'm waiting to put the second coat of lacquer on right now...... I may of gone wrong again, somewhere else yet!

Then, I'm going for a bike ride, with a couple of little tins of lager....! I'm gonna sit down by the river, and pretend everything is normal!
