Looking forward to seeing your rail covers on.
When are you getting them back from paint?

Me too Sean. I’ll have them back Monday.
Now I think of it, I may need for tree clips to clip them on at the rear. I can’t remember if there’s a fitting for them on the rail.

I’ve got some m6 chimney nuts and bolts to secure them at the front, I’m hoping that will work.

Swan’s caddy build

Post by the swan fiend »

I’ve had my van up to the paint shop this morning. The guy has done a great job and fitted the spoiler for me. I’ve just got back home and put the side rail covers on.
I used these chimney nuts and M6 countersunk bolts to attach them at the front and some A pillar trim clips and sleeves to fix them at the back. All seems well.

Handy little buggers!

I’m well happy! Splitter to go on next as soon as I get time……which isn’t often!

I’ve noticed a noise coming from what sounds like the near side front that changes in pitch with the speed I drive. Sounds like I’m behind one of those awful 125cc 4 strokes. I’m a bit worried it’s coming from the gearbox and hoping it’s just a wheel bearing.

That looks tidy 👌 I like the side rail cover it really tidys up the side of the van
Let's hope the noise is nothing serious a wheel bearing not to bad but a gearbox problem can become expensive

Cheers Andy. Another mod off the list!
Yeah I’m hoping so too. I’ll let my mechanic have a drive of it ASAP and see what he thinks.
