Is it bad that I can't remember showing my hoop!

I'm not sure what ill cover it with yet, but those big 'Y' shaped bits look awkward for my big paws!

Yes, especially as we will never forget it
Some lads don’t struggle getting them back on. I need to perfect my technique I think.

Today I dropped the headliner and put some silent coat and 12mm super liner on the cab roof. Tomorrow I’m going to get my Nextbase dash cam wired into the fuse box. (Thanks again to Stan the man for the repair wire Image)
Getting the shelf and headliner out was a bit fiddly. I managed to break a sunvisor clip, so I’ll need a new one. I’ll put it all back together tomorrow after work. Hopefully I’ll get it done tomorrow. Not looking forward to doing the A pillar trims.........I hate those things! Image

very fiddly job! just when you think youve taken out all the screws, you realise its still stuck in by some other screws you completely missed off

I’m glad to say I found all screws first go!! Getting the dash cam in and everything back together wasn’t difficult either, but the passenger side A pillar trim just will not go back on. I’ve given up for today

@stedlocks. Here’s a few photos of the A pillar with out the trim on. You have to locate the 3 tabs on the bottom of the trim in the dash and try line up the 4 white clips and bang them in the holes. Also, you need to get the trim into the door seals to make it all fit properly. I I managed to get the drivers side on in about 20 mins, but the passenger one I was trying for an hour with no joy. Sometimes the clips will fall off as your trying to fit it. If they do, they’ll do down into the dash and you can’t get them back. Put kitchen roll down the hole, once you’ve fitted it, remove kitchen roll and fit the small bit of trim with the vent in. When removing the A pillar trim, take the part with the vent in out first. Hope this helps you mate. Image ImageImageImage

Noticed much difference with the cab sound deadened? Having my windscreen replaces on Wednesday so I might kill a few birds and do the deadening of mine at the same time....

Having broken a clip mounting on the right hand A pillar trim yesterday (and also having one previously broken on my left one) I’ve ordered 2 new trims, and new grommets, and it’s going into VW on Friday for them to do it. It’s not often I say this but for the money, it’s worth letting someone else have the hassle!!

Ay I had my A pillar trims off not that long ago. If you lose a few clips it’s actually much easier to install less to pop in Hahahaha

Today I did a job I’ve been meaning to do for ages, remove the British Gas ariels and replace them with some blue anodised bolts I, errr, borrowed from work. The colour isn’t a perfect match, but it’s not bad. After that I had a little tidy up in the back. Image

Just got home from VW after having them fit my A pillar trims. They’re now super tight and fitted as they would be from factory. Even the bloke at dealers said they were a nightmare! They are never coming off again!!

Today I replaced my drivers door loom bellows after breaking the retaining clip when I soundproofed the door. It wasn’t a job I was looking forward to but it went much easier than anticipated.
I also noticed a rattle from the near side rear and traced that down to a broken retaining clip for one of the pipes underneath the van. Image
I realised I forgot to include a pic from when I fitted my dash cam the other week. So here it is. Image
