Re: Jimbos mk3 caddy
So then my other tinted caddy4 light arrived so I set to getting them installed, followed docs how too and it went seem less,
Just got to get them coded in now to get rid of the bulb light and get the brake lights working as it should
Slightly annoyed at Hermes as they’ve lost my touran carpets how you can loose a parcel so big I will never know !!!

Still got to cut the housing down and put a fixing back on for the handle,

Re: Jimbos mk3 caddy
Yea it’s the Bentley camera bob I got from aus
Won’t go in like that but the camera is small enough, just got to cut the back of the camera holder off and work out a way of fixing a nut to the back of it
Be good to go with a hole drilled for the wires through the door and mech

Re: Jimbos mk3 caddy
yeah, that's what I've got in the post, If it ever arrives. I'd seen Stan say that they won't fit. I'm ex
expecting to have to drill a big hole in the door to accept the rear of the body, but any pics of what you have done, when you do them will be greatly appreciated.
do you know what wire is what? think they are yellow / red / brown. or on the loom, blue / brown / red
I'm assuming the red is the constant live, brown is ground and yellow / blue is the switched live?

Re: Jimbos mk3 caddy
I’ve not wired any of it up yet, waiting for my discover media to land and I’ll get it all installed then,
I’m going to have to cut the back of the housing then I’m going to bond a bolt rather than a nut, so it’ll stick through the body, then I can nut it up,
I’ll be sure to keep you posted with how it goes mate, one hole big enough for the the connectors is all you should need to drill thou
The camera has red, black and brown on it aswell as the fakra plug.
Then the actual wiring look I’ve got red/white trace, brown and blue/black trace,
Looking at it the red is live, brown negative and blue is the reverse wire?
I’ve still got to find out where it wires to but I’m sure it’s the headunit

Jimbos mk3 caddy
Right just had a look the negative and reverse wire are only long enough to go to the light so that’s where they go by the looks of it,
Haven’t I read somewhere that the reverse lights Arnt 12v constant thou on the caddys?
Mate if it’s coming from the same guy in aus it only took a week for me
