Have been a little quiet on here the last couple of months, however a few things in motion. Collected a highline mk4 bumper on the cheap. Needs a bit of attention, and of course colour coded, however George seems impressed enough


I have some 18inch Golf space savers that have taken a trip to Cornwall to be banded and powder coated by Duchy Banded Wheels.




Originally ordered some 18inch JBW pepper pots back in October, to cut a long story short they sent the wrong ones, and they were damaged, then UPS lost them. Fast forward to now and I’m going about this way I wanted to go originally, as I’ve heard mixed things about the finish standard on JBW wheels. What should have been a simple bolt-on winter wheel job turned into a nightmare.

And finally I have a Touran dashboard and door cards off to be trimmed alcantara & nappa leather at the end of April! So lots of things coming together all at once it seems.

Changing up the look of my van. As mentioned had some 18inch Golf space savers banded to 8.5” by Duchy Banded Wheels. Waiting for some C5 to arrive before I fit them but have offered one up so see how it will look. And no it’s not that low just camera trickery..

Wrapped in Michelin PS4s, first time using a premium tyre!

Was originally getting them powder coated in Pearl Grey but changed my mind last minute to Light Anthracite.

Ecstatic with the banded steeliness now they are on, exactly the look I had in mind. Also the ride is noticeably more comfy stepping down from 19s to 18s (from a 35 profile up to a 40) will get some nicer pictures once the van has had a wash. Finished off with some own T4 centre caps.

Gotta get rid of the front mud flaps still interior changes next. I have touran side mouldings, side rail cover and mk4 rear bumper waiting to get painted when funds allow

Cheers @brooneye really pleased I went with the darker powder coat in the end. I pulled up at some traffic lights yesterday and a couple walked passed - I got some surprised and impressed looks as they both eyed up the van and then the wheels
