It'll be slow progress, perfection takes time.
Expect to see some things you haven't seen on a caddy before.
Flat carbon door cards & window switch relocation, battery isolator and fire extinguisher, light switch in coin tray as the cage blocks access right now.
Anyone who has done a dash conversion recently and has a caddy dash laying around, I'd be glad of a donation. The one that is in the caddy has been chopped up real bad to fit around the cage and looks crap. The carpet was hiding a lot of UHU and missing chunks where it had been chopped up.

Oooh, that looks interesting.
I don't have dash but if I can be any help (despite the distance) just ask.
All I ask is to sit on for a lap of Mondello/Nutts Corner etc :D
It'll be a fantastic mobile advertisement for the forum.

So, @iib3327 (Matt at DubUnit) has been busy.
Engine is out, the bay has been cleaned of the build up of typical diesel engine soot and oil.

Next step will be to get the doors off and whip the chopped up dashboard out.

@Giddy Lol, I wish I had pockets that deep.
For now it'll get a Mk5 GTI engine we removed from Matt's old car. A few tuning tweaks will make it plenty powerful for at least the first year of track use.

Doc you’ll have to give us the heads up to your track days and where as I’d like to see this on the track 👍

Don’t know how I missed this. This is going to be an amazing van once it’s complete. As Peely said, I’d too love to see it being blasted around a track one day.
Now following this
Keep up the good work gents

That’s some cracking roll cage. This thing sounds like it could be fun. A mate has a TFSi in his caddy and it’s entertaining

Starting to pull the loom apart this week.
Got the engine bay all stripped back to bare wires, next step is to pick out all the unnecessary wires and get them out.
Got a Odyssey Extreme 30 battery and tray which will be relocated behind the passenger seat along with a solid state battery isolator.
Behind the drivers seat will be the plumbed in fire extinguisher and water/methonol injection equipment.
