I struggled a little doing the fog lights months ago so I thought I'd do a little write up of how I got through the fire wall.

There is a rubber panel in the firewall just behind the engine under the insulation that a gasket went perfect in too and then there a plastic panel behind the fuses that with a little modified extrusion for a hole cutter I could reach to put a hole in it, I used some long bar to drive the cables through both holes and used another gasket and some silicone to seal the hole in the plastic behind the fuses.ImageImageImageImageImage

Did you conected the fog lights to the BCM or you used the method with the relay?
I bought also a fog lights kit but the harness is made for the relay method so I have to modify it. I bought also a 30 bit highline BCM from a Passat because I want also to activate cornering function, and my BCM didn't even suported the front fog lights. I only need time to do the job, like you said, it's a lot of work and takes time.
Good luck with the project!

This is a nice looking build mate. The work you’ve done in the back looks super neat
One question though....what work did you do that required a sledgehammer???

@the swan fiend thank you mate, oh the sledgehammer Image I was using it only as a weight because I bonded those wood strips so along the edge so I had thinker material to screw the bed frame down to keep it secure, instead of just going through the laminate so only the side I know I've got just under 20mm at least to screw in too ImageImage

That’s a good use of a sledge mate! Beats using it for dent removal

The passenger side is all wired in with my new vibe black air component speakers I trailed the tweeter cable through the loom bit. Need to make some adaptors out of some ply for the tweeters now and sort the touran door card out needs trimming round the mirror bit.ImageImageImageImage

Those door shut wiring loom boots are such a pain to unplug the first time!

@JusrajC did you manage to find someone with VCDS local to you, as I said on instagram you may still need to turn it on, I've bought a 12v camera filter just off ebay but I'm still having problems as mine has stopped working, or do you mean about like the cables and that?
