It’s not too bad mate. If I’m honest now it’s in a million pieces I will sort a few bits I wasn’t happy with and get it as oem as possible.

Not much progression on the Caddy this week with the weather and dogs being rushed into vets. This year can bugger off already. Took a pic of it tho Image next to its donor vehicle too
Wonder if Doc will allow some Forum stickers in the same colour as my sign writing as it’s been matched to the automated Powdercoat I have had mixed for my wheels when I decide what to run on it

Would love to tell you it involved scientific mathematics and complex problem solving but in reality they were already in the bonnet when I bought it

T5FAW that actually made me laugh I love it haha. Ah well I guess when it comes to it I’ll have to work something out I work with measurements and measuring everyday so it shouldn’t be too hard just thought I’d ask the question lol. Nice one for the reply love the van btw and looking forward to seeing it with the new engine

It’s a nightmare isn’t it. List gets longer lol.
Work is mental this time of year too with it coming up to race season, show season and camping season. Never get any time for it. Might end up sending it somewhere to get the wiring done as I may not have the time

That’s the biggest problem most days is having the time. I might go down the tfsi route one day might buy another caddy to do that on it and keep my pd engine one as well.

So. Been a while since I posted but finally got to do a bit on the Caddy.
Engine and box stripped out of the Golf, engine and box stripped out of the caddy. Loom cut out of the caddy and started to unpick from the gti.
Need to swap the steering rack assemblies over as a complete subframe whilst cleaning and painting everything up as we go. Engine service will be done before it goes in too ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Steering rack, subframe, bottom arms, ARB all swapped over from the donor plus actually got the engine and box in. Waiting on some bits coming from Forge Motorsport then it can be plumbed you and start running wires. Also got to decide what to do with gear selector mounting too. Touran DSG console or....ImageImageImageImageImageImage
