Broadmoor's Pure Grey

Post by broadmoor »

Didn't really plan on doing a build thread, But as i add more things to the Van I've nowhere else to share the Pictures :D

i purchased a Pure Grey 2016 2.0 Trendline after looking at loads of ex-work vans, This one came up and is a really clean example, with just 30k on the clock an not a mark anywhere a deal was done. I don't tend to keep anything standard for long and had collected a few bits and pieces over a few weeks with the intention of having a busy saturday morning.

Drove onto my mates ramps like this

And backed out like this, Haven't gone mad with expensive suspension or anything, cheapie Prosports as this will never see a track :)
Fifteen52 in 19" with Falkens in some strange grey finish work well enough for me, Front ABS Lip added also.
Image

Since then i've just mopped/polished it to death,
added:
GTE seat covers
VW Side Rail purchased in colour
GTI Pedals
R mats
R badges
Yellow Headlights
Audi Engine cover

No further plans at the moment and i've even contemplated selling this on and purchasing an Indium Grey one which has always been my preferred choice of colour. i really want a tailgated version and they seem rare to find in colour. :(
will see what the future brings, in the mean time i'll enjoy this one.

Nice transformation. I like the yellow tint on headlights, had it on my previous car.

That looks insanely good. How are the Prosports up front? Ride ok? Also curious what you thought of their build quality.

Drives surprisingly well, for £275 build quality is spot on, Can’t really complain considering I’m running 235-35-19 tyres.

Cheers. Good to hear. I'm currently weighing up options, but I can't afford to spend big. These are definitely on the list

Thought I’d upload some pics as I’ve made quite a few changes to the Van interior.

Golf MK7.5 Steering wheel fully functional, GTD Seats and Gearknob etc etc

When I purchased the seats I got the rears as well , hence why I’ve gone a little crazy with the Tartan and a sewing machine...bad combination

Also had the little 102hp mapped to 185hp and it’s a proper giggle now...best £250 ever spent.

Got a few exterior changes planned, but nothing that’s not been done before, Touran mouldings etc etc
Will update soon.

That R insert in the dashboard void is an interesting solution! Quite like that.

Ply, wrapped in rear seat bolster matching materiel , and i print T shirts so added the R logo, i hated the cubbyhole and don't know if i like the Caddy Life plastic vent panels, might make a similar jobbie for the top of the dash.

Had a little colour coding done, and fitted these Vanstyle arches, Touran side mouldings and Caddy Life mirrors , the arches were pretty unbelievable fitment for the money...My bodyshop man was very impressed and he works on high end stuff and usually is critical of anything aftermarket :D
