Some damn good progress on this dude!

Shows you don't need to make huge changes to made Caddy's a bit of a nicer place to be.

Might need to chop my bulkhead up too in order to cover the gaps! Loving the curtains too :D

@ACalamita - Thanks mate, progress has come to a stop for the moment. Too many projects going on at once.
But its a lovely place to be, Drives like a golf. Never goes onsite as i work in IT, so it stays nice and clean.
- Still have lots of plans for the van and still have a pile of parts to go on - its just finding the time and motivation to get it all sorted.

Haha. I know the feeling! I technically now have 3 projects (car wise...!) on-going. One isn't critical though and will be for more of the winter nights. The other is the daily, which the Caddy is replacing over the winter and the Caddy... well... that has a list of things I want to do before it takes over being the daily LOL

Hopefully it'll be ready for it's first bike ride trip next weekend :)

IT guy here too :D

@ACalamita - Would love to have a car alongside the Caddy. Just can't afford it, insurance at my age costs a bomb. its bad enough on the Caddy. I've turned my attention to my Sim Racing project for the last couple of months. - Consists of building a machine good enough for 120fps, - building a rig around it to support steering wheel and pedal box, and button box. - And an airbag deployed GT86 seat which ive stitched back up, bolted on top.

Most of you are probably snoozing after reading that. sorry lads

Your time will come! I currently have the Scirocco R as the daily, Mazda Roadster RS (MX5 import) and the Caddy. Ohh and a CG 125 cafe racer style thing :P

My money goes on nothing but cars/engines/parts/tools!

I have a Thrustmaster TMX Pro at the moment. Just mounted to the desk. Not used it in a while though and was thinking of selling it.

A good friend of mine has a full simrig setup though!

You looked at bass transducers yet? They make a big difference too!

Love your work. One thing I do feel is missing is points to strap down items. My van is the SWB 7 seater. And only has 2 tie down points, unless you use the seat latches when seats are out.

Does anyone know if there are places to instal mounting eyes. My floor is covered in a rubber mat and looks a pita job to remove.

@boostedgp there’s quite a few tie down points in my panel van. Perhaps the life models don’t have as many. I’ve only added M6 Eye bolts to what was the bulkhead fixings. :)

@ACalamita i probably will get one when i get round to it.
Only got a cheap G920 but with a load of 3D printed bits. - GT Style steering wheel wrapped in Suede, inverted pedals with upgraded springs and foams. Thinking about using loadcells for when i finish my PC.
Can't race the van so gotta get some track time from somewhere!

@Lamby00 just wondering when you swapped the touran centre console/armrest in did keep the original lowers plastics below the gear stick or did you swap that too?

I am picking up a touran armrest/ lower centre console tomorrow and just wondering should i grab the gear stick surround too! Newbie so still do not have access to the how to guides

Thanks

Hi Dude,

all you need is the centre console bud. I did chop a few bits off the front fixings and chopped a bit out the back to make it sit flush with the rear floor.
Really easy to do mate there is a how to article on this forum which tells you exactly how to fit it.

Perfect that is what I thought but just wanted to make sure! Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated!

Yes hopefully I get access granted soon so I am able to view the how to section of the forum!

Thanks again
