My door strips have started to flakeImage after 2 weeks... not really impressed. I could have done that with a rattle can lol. Sending it back to the bloke having him do them properly as I paid a lot of money for the work. Image

Exactly 1 year ago today, I picked up my van. Never let me down, it’s brilliant!

I’ve been working from home so no need to be driving about during these odd times. Gives me a chance to start stripping the cab shelving so I can trim it in carpet and also paint the headlining black.

It’s exactly 120cm between the arches so it fits absolutely snug. I do recommend

Fitted the headliner and trims back in. Still need to spray more bits black but ran out of paint. So happy with it, A pillars are a nightmare to carpet and refit. Also stuck a load of sound deadening across the roof whilst it was all out.

Slow progress on the door cards, sunvisors, centre console, trimmer has limited access to the workshop but I’m so pleased with how some of the bits have turned out :)

When you put dye on the headlining, did you clean it first? If so, what with?
Thanks

What's the situation with scrapyards do you just ask for what you want and they give you a price? Because I've seen/ heard about people picking bits themselves from the car/van but how does that work? Do you just get the parts out you want and they give you a price or what? Sorry if I sound daft but last time I visited a scrapyard they didn't want to know me

Some let you strip parts, others have them on the shelf ready, others need calling first and they remove the parts
