2016 2.0 TDI Bluemotion MK4

Post by BillyGilly » Thu Dec 19, 2019 9:55 pm

Replaced the old SDI with a 2016 Startline 2.0 TDI Bluemotion.

Link to the old SDI thread: https://www.caddy2k.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40416

Got a few bits to take off the old van to put on the new one, along with some more carpet-lining to do.

Ply-lining stripped out today, quick clean and began insulation single skin areas. Image

2nd Caddy - MK4

The mrs treated me to a jack and creeper kit for Christmas so tried that out today. Fitted new wheels, side rails and got the private plates on too. Unsure as to whether or not to put the roof rails on or not though! ImageImage

Little job today but makes a difference. Collected the centre console trim piece from VW today, covers the nasty hole left after removing the bulkhead. Awaiting the carpet/flooring arrival also.Image

Carpeted the rear doors out some off-cut from when I did the old van. Hopefully the delivery will arrive soon! Image

Been a busy time recently, but not so much on the van, we’ve bought a new car. The Caddy has had a new cambelt and tensioner though, and I’ve managed to get the sides carpeted.
