Evening all,

Been here a while so thought its about time to put up some pics of my MK3. Bought sole for the intention of using it to camp out in at Motorsport events and to get the bikes in the back for weekends away. Absolutely love it, wish id bought one sooner!

Its a 1.9 BJB - On its second engine due to some horrific work from the last time its belts were changed. Found that out a month after buying it :(

Used daily to go to and from work in.

Mods are -

Lowered all round - Coilovers and a flipped axle
Audi TT vents
TT Seats
Touran bases
Touran Carpets
Stickerbomb interior roof panel
Led lights around roof panel
Part smoothed tailgate
Rear Wiper delete
Led sidelights
Caperted rear
Rail covers
Touran front bumper and lights
MK4 rear lights

Looking good that mate. You’re a brave man doing a house AND a van. I did my house when I bought it 5 years ago. Most stressful thing I’ve ever done!!

Mine was a can of worms too. Worst issue was falling through a rotten floor and finding the subfloor flooded. That was an expensive phase!

Right , so

The pan was to buy wheels but my boiler decided that wheels can wait while it needs replacing so,

I need some ideas for inexpensive , easy mods I can do. Ive toyed with the idea of wrapping the chrome a sort of brushed effect purple.

Also painting the Vw Logo on the Steels white.

Any more ideas?

Cheers

I feel your pain mate.
Alloy vents rings are cheap at £20. One for the headlight switch is £5. Depending on your head unit, if you have one that’s compatible, you can get an eBay special reverse cam for £20 or less.
A bit of carbon wrap and you can do your radio surround......
I don’t think the auto light kits are too expensive either, just a switch and a sensor I think. That’ll hopefully keep you going for a bit

Finally managed to get out an get some snaps of the van, not much has changed as the house renovation is still eating away the mods fund :(

It was clean on Friday i swear - problem with living on a cut through road with loads of trees.
