Where did you get the OEM Audi LED's from? scrap car or online?

They look smart.

Cheers buddy!

Yeah, it’s cost a few Bob!

The Audi LED’s were from the scrappies, upgraded the LED’s to give a better light output. I’ve put a few pictures up on my build thread

Colour coded R32 style rear bumper going on tomorrow, weather permitting

Yeah I saw them, they look smart with the big bar. I thought they might of been from a scrap yard.

Heading to one this weekend for some touran bits, hopefully get them cheaper than the horrendous prices on eBay.

Will wait to see the bumper. Assuming you are doing the exhaust as well then?

Van went for its MOT today, passed with flying colours, no advisories! Yay!

MOT tester said “that’s a tidy wee van, and pretty nippy” made my day, that did!

Hi bud,

Yeah! He even commented on my “mind my splitter” post-it note

Bumpers finished and painted. Just waiting on a replacement bumper protector arriving and I’ll post a few pictures! Changes the look of the rear end totally! Well pleased with it, hopefully the protector will arrive tomorrow along with a few other bits and pieces

Definitely better to leave notes like that than regret it if you don't, I always make sure to leave notes not for my van to be washed if it goes in for a service etc!

Can't wait to see it.. Bet it looks great

So, bumper on and it’s looking pretty good! I’m well pleased with the result, India blue with a black insert!

Didn’t go for the twin R32 style exhaust as I need to keep the spare wheel so went for a twin pipe on the right and a bumper guard to minimise damage when loading/unloading my bike.

The first bumper guard that arrived was more anthracite grey than black, contacted the supplier and they sent a replacement within 2 days and told me to keep the other one, couldn’t be happy with the sellers response and attitude Image

And a big shout out to hef355 for the advice and guidance on how to modify and bond the original bracket onto the new skin Image

I would never have tackled this without the support of this forum and the great people within it!

New rear lights fitted and coded in using the rather good how to guide in the “how to” section! Many thanks to Doc for writing it up and sharing

Image

And error free LED number plate lights also fitted, straight fit, no mods!

Not a lot done today, bit limited, however....

Replaced my passenger side LHD mirror base with the proper RHD one, £108.97 from VW Commercial and I know know that the LHD primed cover and the RHD cover are identical, saved myself £30, result.

So I spent the money saved (and a wee bit extra) on these... £84 as they were the last ones they had in stock, in the display case... just need a set of wheels that they’ll fit in to as my wheel centres are too large Image

Image

And I thought I’d make a list of what I’ve done so far...

Touran bumper
Touran splitter
Fog lights
Touran headlights, split, blacked out and dynamic indicators fitted
Engine under tray
Air con
Engine cover
Touran bonnet insulation mat
Battery box
Sh#t pipe mod
Black cap for washer fluid
Black cap for coolant tank
Stage 1 remap
Stance+ coil overs
New hubs
New drop links
New wish bones
New torque bolts
Black alloys and winter tyres
Dynamic side indicators
Heated fan jets for window washing
Rear view mirror delete
Rain and light sensor
Roof console with background illumination (from a golf gti)
Caddy life door mirrors
Premium 3D instrument cluster
Multi function steering wheel
Cruise control
Hydro dipped steering column covers
Heko wind deflectors
Electric windows
Touran door cards, hydro dipped handles
Touran dash
Chilled glove box
EOS CECM
Footwell lights
RCD360 head unit mod’d to connect in the OEM USB socket
Door switch illumination
PTC heater
Golf cup holders, bottle opener and roller cover
Touran centre console with working ractchet, retro retina cover
Touran carpets
Audi SLine seats, changed for Touran heated leather ones
Carpeted bulkhead
Side rail cover
Rubber flooring in back
Fully insulated sides and roof
Led roof lights
MTB mounts, hooks, carriers, etc
Inside handle for rear door
Steel plates on barn door windows
Wiper delete
Reversing camera
LED number plate lights
2015 onwards rear lights, coded in and working
Mod’d R32 style rear bumper
Bumper guard
Twin exhaust tail pipe incl. back box
Rear door spoiler

So, what’s the still to do mod list...

1. Dukes of Hazard air horns (so ‘70’s)
2. TV/DVD/multimedia unit for the back
3. Interior unlocking button for the side door - diodes here, to be fitted
4. Engine/gearbox upgrade, power, more power... very, very long term, injectors, turbo, MAP sensor and remap most likely medium term engine upgrade now.
5. Low washer fluid level detection - to do at same time as bi-xenon headlights
6. TPMS
7. Xenon lights from a Touran + headlight washers
8. Climatronic upgrade (parts here, waiting to install)
9. Heated seats - Touran leather ones fitted, wiring to do at same time as Climatronic upgrade.

And all I bought was an old builders van for carrying some stuff around in and I said I was going to just run it as is! That was of course before I stumbled across this forum.... ImageImageImageImage
