Mk4 black caddy

Post by Iain88 »

New to this site but thought I would start a thread on my caddy I bought from Martin Atkinson 2 years ago..

I own a body shop in Dundee so I’m about to put my own stamp on the van over the next few weeks hoping to do a few shows this year with the van, here’s some of the upgrades and mods that are to come in the next few weeks

Bc racing BR coilovers
20” Bentley split rims
Gte front bumper with drls
S5 side skirts
Vanstyle arches
Front end respray from the doors forward and rear bumper
With a few other detailed parts painted

Here’s some pics of the van at the minute

Hi Iain, welcome to the forum mate. It sounds like this is going to be a great looking van. I (and quite a lot of others) use the Tapatalk app, this has a function to upload pictures

Your pictures came up very briefly there then disappeared again mate. Probably just a glitch. From the quick glimpse I got your vans looking great already. Love the red callipers on black

I think you experienced a failure on Tapatalks side whereby your posts requiring approval, first three on this forum, return a "topic does not exist".
Not that you've made the three posts, you should be fine.

Managed to get a start on the caddy today also had some nice delivery’s too..

Image

Firstly I took of the side bars that came on the van when I bought it and glad I did to think these rusty old plates were sitting inside my bare sills gave me the fear a bit.

Image

I will fill inside the sills with wax oil seal after it’s been painted and order some new rubber grommets from tps

Managed to get the bumpers stripped off and took all the decals off as I’ll be giving it a full paint correction and ceramic coat once finished

Wheels I’m going to refurb to suit my logo still deciding what to do Iv went threw about 4 different options Image I’ll also be putting on bigger profile tyres as one pot hole with the elastic bands that are on them and I could say goodby to my rim Image

Iv had these brake discs sitting for ages as I bought them off eBay for my mrs’s tt and they were to big there 340mm by 30mm so now looking into getting some golf R callipers too!

Image

Still waiting on my GTE front bumper ..

Hopefully have some big updates by the end of next weekend Image
