So this is how the air was installed when I bought the van. Not ideal when you have tools in the back.

I wanted something to protect the air ride kit but still be on show when I want to. The obvious option was to make a box Perspex panel etc and carpet or cover. But I wanted something a bit more trade orientated.

Milwaukee had just released its new pack out range, and as I’m a massive Milwaukee tool geek didn’t take much to sell me.

50 shades of Grey

Post by Grifnut »

I’ve still got to have some 3D printed trims made up to dress the holes cut into the boxes and have the tank sprayed / wrapped

I’ve built lighting into the boxes but it’s only cheap ebay stuff and not happy with it.

Having played around with Morimoto/Profile kit since, this will be replacing the eBay crap

Thought it was time I cut my teeth with some proper mechanicals. As an electrician my initial reaction was to run away from all the dirt, but I persevered.

Picked up a Citroen berlingo 1.4 petrol scrappy to get back on the road. I wanted to do some work on the van that would require it being off the road for a month or so, enter Cyril the Citroen.

rebuilt the engine with the guidance of my mate who owns a garage, and it worked !

Got Cyril back on the road, great going to plan. Then my mate who owns the garage decided he needed it as he’s going to build a 4.2 V8 caddy with 4 wheel drive!

As I’d been trying to convince him to do the conversion for the past 6 months I obviously encouraged this.

Change of plan take everything off put the van into winter mode and rebuild everything, then I can still use the van until the V8 is built.
