M9YTY Tornado Red 2.0TDI CR 6 speed 200bhp
New to the Forum.. and Caddy ownership
Started out straight swapping my run around (Polo Dune 1.4tdi) for this 1.9tdi Caddy as I needed something with rear seats I could get mtb's and pit bikes in. It looked rough.. and was rough but had some goodies:
1.9tdi BJB 5 speed.
17" Passat wheels.
Touran front + rear seats + carpet.
Black door cards from mk3.
Rear carpeted out.
Touran front bumper with LCR splitter.
Full wrap in grey. (Looked mint 5 years ago.. awfull now)
Black headlights.
Rear axle lowered (not on coilovers anymore but axle ready).
Rear spoiler (genuine VW).
Rail cover (propper one with different rail)
Pikey touran/ mk6 door mirrors (wired in)
I had every intention of keeping it and sorting the bodywork out but the more I looked at it the worse it looked lol.. sills were rotten and had more sills welded over them badly .

Re: M9YTY Red Mk3 2.0tdi 6 speed 200bhp
Took the Caddy to paint/ bodyshop guy.. he advised it would cost at least 2 times what I paid for it to get it looking right.. 160k on it aswell so I ditched that Idea and traded it in for my current 2011 Caddy.
Red Caddy specs:
2.0tdi CR140 6 speed.
3" turbo back custom exhaust with twin exhaust.
DPF delete.
EGR + Cooler delete.
Darkside intercooler and hardpipe kit.
Uprated Clutch + Flywheel.
Coilovers and rear axle drop.
Poly bushed suspension front + rear.
Polybushed engine/ gearbox mounts.
"Stage 2" AMD remap to 197bhp.
18 multispoke wheels with toyo proxes.
Before trading the grey caddy in I removed some bits ready for the new one:
Touran rear seat conversion including floor front + rear brackets, seatbelts etc.
Touran front carpets.
Glove box.
Rear spoilers.
Sliding door cover + rail.
When I picked the new caddy up:

Re: M9YTY Red Mk3 2.0tdi 6 speed 200bhp
Sussed out how to upload pics properly !
Had to upgrade the steering wheel to a mk6 golf Gti wheel..
Next on the list had to be upgrading the brakes as the drive up from Essex to Wakefield proved the standard brakes were sausage !
Got myself a set of Mk7 golf R 340mm brakes in red with pagid discs.
Before:
After:
Couple of pics post brakes fitting and after its first wash and my plates swapped over.

Fit a pair of facelift mk4 cherry rear lights .
Swapped all the wires without any issues and all lights work as they should but got bulb warning on .. guessing the coding needs changing? Ive got VCDS.. if anyone wants to let me know what the coding needs to be changed to

Re: M9YTY Red Mk3 2.0tdi 6 speed 200bhp
I have always loved that colour in a caddy, the red over black with the bumpers is great.
As for the lights you can’t do anything with your year caddy with VCDS, it’s not that anybody doesn’t want to help you just can’t . I’m in the same boat with my lights the EEPROM coding needs to be rewritten in the J519/BCM to get it working correctly, it’s in the How to”
There are one or 2 on here that can do it for you

Re: M9YTY Red Mk3 2.0tdi 6 speed 200bhp
Was hoping there would be something in the How to section. Thanks
It wont let me access the "How to" section yet but I will have a look when I can. I should be able to sort it myself if its just a case of the coding being changed in the BCM (09 Electrics).

Trying hard to fight it .. need to get the boring (practical) inside bits done 1st but cant help myself looking at wheels etc
Oh and an injector has gone so trying to sort that without destroying my interior budget
