Mines smoothed mate, body shop welded a plate inside and filled it. Much prefer the look after having a blanking plug in for months! Image

Picked up a face lift steering wheel to go on the caddy as old one looking abit sorry for its self:

New one fitted:

Now onto the passenger side for g3 and finesse so I can get the side mouldings on:

Still got abit of paint work to do, so thought I’d tackle some of that today. Leaving the bonnet and bumper for now as bumper still needs a day on it to get right.

Prepping for paint:

Got the washing line out again:

All painted up:

Forgot the photo of the number plate trim will get it when fitted Image

Just had the rear door to flat and polish aswell:

Again didn’t take the finished result, useless at this Image but photo can be taken with the number plate trim on aswell! Image

Wanted to give the callipers a freshen up, had three options

1. Black

2. Red

3. Silver

After a lot of thought I went for silver:

Will be back up there tomorrow to fit the wing mirror covers and trim (with photos Image). Then get the callipers back on.

Cheers guys!

Few more bits done today, callipers fitted back on:

Painted part of the disc to freshen them up, before:

After:

Gave the wheels a polish and applied tyre dressing:

Finally a photo of the tailgate and painted trim fitted:

Colour coded wing mirror covers fitted:

Putting the weather strip back on passenger side:

Had a absolute nightmare getting these LED number plate lights working. VW will cut the power feed if it detects a bulb gone after a few seconds which made it abit of a nightmare to test why they weren’t working. Ended up being the connectors weren’t giving a good enough contact.

Image

Had to modify the LED connections, after a lot of cursing and nearly throwing them in the bin. We have light!

Wanted to get the front headlights off and split to black the insides but that requires front bumper off. So that’s a job for when new bumper is being fitted.
