I really like what you did with wheel and the removable bar to hold the forks in. I'm very much looking to do the same thing.

Is there a specific reason people always seem to opt for the back wheel towards the front?

It's fairly easy to lift the rear in then push the bike back by rolling it on the back wheel- other way round and you'll have to climb in or access from the side to secure the forks which makes things a little more awkward.

This mount idea is great. I was wondering how to best make my mounts removable. I may steal your idea ;-)
