Best colour van.

Didn’t realise vw were selling dynamic hubcaps.
I helped do some testing a few years ago trying to get around the patient that rolls Royce have in place on the design of how it works. Everything pretty much gerbled like a hamster falling in its wheel. But this was a while ago.
Be interested to know if they are any good

Hi Liammano,

Yes, I just checked to make sure that they were actually VW product and looks like they are.

Thats very interesting about Rolls Royce and your involvement, sounds like it would have been an enjoyable project.

I really like them so far. They just about clicked on to my wheels, I thought the tabs could have been a bit longer for a more secure fit. Having said that I was out and about yesterday and put them through their pace and they were still on when I got home.

Hi Papa Bear,

Here you go, another one for your ebay wish list

I got mine on ebay from Germany but I see Van Style have them also.

They only come in one size. The dimensions noted are Inside approx. 53 mm Outside approx. 65 mm. I was not going to buy them because I didnt think they would fit my wheels but then I seen the below picture with the tape measure over the back of them and too a chance and they fitted.

This is a lovely build mate. Keep up the good work.
I wasn’t going to do any mods either until I discovered the forum!

Yeah I put these up on the forum ages ago when they came out might been on my build. But at £90 at the time I wasn’t going to punt on those they didn’t really go with my wheels either. But cool though.

Hi Caddyluv,

Thanks for the info, this means I will have to read your build tread again :D , your van is just amazing. I held them up against my wheels earlier and they looked good, the red looked nice with the pure grey/ gloss black. Im trying to convince myself not to get a set of R32 rears but I think its only a matter of time before I cave in

Hey mate thanks for that. I don’t have R32 on the rear just so I can put on a spare wheel. I just painted the rears. Your vans coming along looking great as you have probably found out the toys are endless, and your never constantly find more stuff you wanna do.

Yes i did read your comment about the spare wheel and it is in the back of my mind and its one of the things that is making me think. I have 272mm rears discs now, I might keep my brakes and get new discs and paint the brakes. Think I will get the Vagbremtechnic 'J' Hooked discs as the kinda look like fishing hooks to me.

Yeah fair enough, I only think it because of the miles I do. We don’t really have anyone to let out the dog so waiting for 4 hours for a tow truck to give me a lift.

Really nice that you put your dog before brakes upgrade.

Are we sure the standard spare doesn’t fit over the r32 rear brakes? I’ve never tried one on mine but it wouldn’t surprise me if it fits.

If they don’t, you could just replace your spare with a larger diameter wheel with a lower profile tyre so it’d be the same rolling diameter. I’ve got an 18” space saver in my shed that’d work, just bolt it up underneath where the original spare goes.
