Ive hit a snag with the coilovers. I cant find anyone to insure me here in Ireland, guess I should have called a few insurance companies before I bought them. Im gonna have to return them unfortunately :(

@Pritchard4984

I haven't had any issues with it, pretty much does what it says on the tin. Compared to some of the quotes I was getting for an alarm this was not much more and it has the GPS and app control. I'm fairly happy with it.

I went to the body shop today to get my chrome rear badges taken off, he had them off in minutes using a plastic wedge and used a drill with a rubber wheel on it to clean up the glue. I kept the chrome badge on the front, I have the gloss black and might install it later.

Had the Golf R seats delivered last Saturday. Really happy with them, they are in great nick, still have to give them a clean. Tommyzooom has kindly agreed to help me with the looms for the airbags and seat belts, thanks again Tommyzooom.

Pick up new stalks with cruise control 1K5953521AK 1K5953502K and a new highline slip ring 5K0953569BG. Also acquired a MFSW and picked up a "R" badge elbem 1K8419685B. Plan is to drive up to Tommyzoom and he has kindly agreed to do the install, apart from the R badge, I was able to install that myself :)

I fitted the 1K2064200A pedal set today. Had to swap the base over to the Caddy base as they were different as expected and the new base wouldnt fit. Taking the original base off wasn't so difficult as I thought it was going to be. Once I pushed the carpet down I was able to get a good view of the tabs that needed to be released on the Caddy base.
Taking the accelerator pad off the new base was the hardest, I tried to gently force it over the base tab using a screw driver but felt like I could brake it so I resorted to some butchery and used a screw driver and mallet to bust the tab on the base as the new base is of no use. Once the tab was busted it was easy to take off.

Finally got the Focal IBus 20 Underseat Sub installed and wired today, happy with the sound now. Mounted it on the floor behind the passenger seat.
