Hi Barbel,

You are the brake expert, your posts on brakes have been very helpful. Love your Brembo's and everything else you have done to your van. After some thought I was thinking of getting rid of the spare wheel and just getting a tyre repair kit if I do go down the R32 route.

Next time I take my wheels off I’ll try a standard wheel on the back just to see.

I don’t carry a spare these days. I did carry the space saver for a while but I don’t have the room for it in the van anymore. I have one of those pumps and a can of foam but most importantly an AA membership :)

I cant decide what to do with the rears, I would like the R32 set up but the only thing stopping me is the Commercial Van Road Worthy Test (CVRT). I'm kinda worried they will fail me for changing the front brakes, i'm not 100% sure but.

I've been reading the Testers Manual and it does say a reason for failure would be "Any obviously unsafe repair or modification" to the brakes. I'm not sure if they mean a unsafe modification or just a modification itself. Anyway I will take a chance on the fronts and see what happens but I think I will keep the rears for now and see how I get on with the fronts first, the test is not until next May so i'll get to enjoy them for a few months at least.

Looks like I will be able to move forward with getting the van lowered at last, was a bit of a stumbling block with the Commercial Vehicle Roadworthy Test (CVRT) here as they would have failed me because of the rear axle flip.
After doing some research I had to find an engineer with the appropriate accreditation who will fill out the RSA Modifications Report and sign off on it all. I then present the report to the CVRT testing center.
Ill have to use the Eibach Spring Kit as it has a TUV Certificate. The engineer said if the kit didn't have a TUV Certificate he wouldn't have signed off on it.

Got the MFSW and cruise control stalks installed today. Everything working as it should.

Also had the van remapped today from 75 ponies to 150BHP. Its a lot more responsive and i'm hoping it will help with the fuel consumption, since I put on the 19" the fuel consumption has been bad.
