Purchased some C brake discs too. Front and rears.

Wrapped all the interior in forged carbon.

Re: Project Charmaine
Dash getting there.
Still need a touran armrest and a lot of retrimming to do.
Seats on mk5 gti seats on touran bases sitting wayyy to high. Feel like I’m sat in the roof going to down the road so will be making something to correct that.
Time to play around with the Passat W8 light and rear lights. Fit the side rail covers unpainted as decided to leave the van looking rough and send it for a paint once everything is done.
The RCD330 from eBay. What absolute dream of a headunit.
Looks oem. Everything seems to work. really simple plug and play. £200 too. Bargin. Seller I used was the same as mentioned on another post I found ‘eodaworld’. Literally can’t recommend enough.

Re: Project Charmaine
Seat position is just way to high on touran bases and I don’t really condone the safety of just drilling and putting m10 bolts into the standard caddy ones.
What I’ve done isn’t exactly perfect. However it’s more of a happy medium.
Touran bass compared to caddy ones.
Marked out a middle section
Cut away.
Re welded up
Use the caddy middle brace as it’s smaller. Sorry no pics. And weld all back together. Final result is a super super low seat that I can now choose to sit low or decide to pump up.
I will post some pics of the finished article after it is repowder coated. Feel like I’m going to test the driving position for a few days.
Can’t decide to mod the passenger one also or not. Due to the crash safety changes.
Moving onto the touran armrest. Loads of stuff being retrimmed in alacantara at the minute (can’t spell) so decided to borrow this mod from lister, great idea as the cup holder provided is tragic.
Rear light transformation thanks to Docs detailed post.

Re: Project Charmaine
Would you be willing to share the part numbers? I've love to run the LHD and RHD combo to keep the twin reverse lights
How many is too many Volkswagens?

Re: Project Charmaine
All the part numbers came from Docs thread in the how to section.
You have to be carefull what to order as he explains in detail. Best checking that out.
I ordered
2k2.945.095.Q
2k1.945.096.AE
RRP is 63.76 each. I got a nice 28% discount on them due to working for VW group directly.

Re: Project Charmaine
Legend. given yours is a barn-door van and you're running the double reverse lights, i figured it was a safe bet. I know I'll have to re pin the plugs to suit. cheersLiammano wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 9:42 am All the part numbers came from Docs thread in the how to section.
