That was the type I originally had, it was ok, but felt and looked a bit cheap and eventually broke. (it was £50)
The Touran swap isn’t too hard. seats out, gear surround trim out and slacken the handbrake off. There’s a comprehensive guide in the how to section.

Hmm might look at doing it when I swap my seats over then. Once I get access to other sections of the forum I'll have a read up on the how-to sections, will probably save me asking a lot of newbie questions really!

Also it’s a lot cheaper to get a console and armrest from a scrapyard rather than eBay. Plus you get to remove it which helps in knowing how to install. Plus get any screws etc you need.

That’s true. I bought one without the plastic frame. Check my build thread for more info.

Minor updates:

New seats arrived! Going to try and fit them onto the caddy bases by drilling an extra couple holes, if not I'll grab some touran bases. Will update with a photo once I get them in 👍

Roof rails/bars should be here this week. And I also done the bonnet pull zip tie mod as well to be on the safe side from reading on here.

Window tinting the rear barn doors is hard 😅 I can see why people get paid to do it. Made a right hash of it but got plenty left so will go again when I can.

Bought a tinted 3rd brake light and it doesnt work. Shouldn't be any coding issues or anything should there? 🤔

Heard someone say they bought a new taillight but the connections were the wrong way round. LEDs need to be wired the right way round to work. Worth checking

Are you using soapy water with the window tinting.

So this is how I did it.

Clean the glass..
Soapy window....soapy film
Fit the film into place
Hold the bottom of the film and work from the middle to the edge overlapping where your pushing out the water once good...
Hairdryer to remove moisture and you can push out and left over bubbles. Good luck I did it twice to.

Will I need a loom to plug these seats in? I see a lot of people mention Stan the man, how would I go about contacting him? Image

You need to request upgrade to your account to pm
But by saying @stan the man, he might see this and respond.
Definitely recommended
