You’re really cracking on with this mate 👍 I put the RCD330 unit in my lad’s 2012, and added the Reverse Camera as well, I was well pleased, plus had Apple Car Play 😆

Yeah one of the only good things about November's lockdown was a bit of time to work on the van! 😁

The rcd330 is honestly way better than I expected for the money (£240 off eBay). The reverse camera is definitely on my to-do list. Was it a straight forward install?

@Trol23 It was a bit of a pfaff and fiddly getting wires into the barn door, but got there in the end, and there’s no ‘true’ 12v back there in ours, you may have a supply for rear wiper in yours ? as for my supply it was from the reverse in the rear cluster and it’s a modulating voltage, so needs smoothing. There’s a large thread on this (you’ll see some of my questions) search under RCD330. It’s a great addition to your head unit mate 👍

My rcd330 turned out to be faulty, just stopped working within days of being installed. Thought I'd been stiffed but the people I got it off of on eBay refunded me no questions asked...was just going to get another but then saw Xtrons had January sale on, and if you sign up to their newsletter there's a discount. Got a nice unit, android 10 with DSP for less than the rcd330 and it's way better. Totally plug and play also but much more customisable. Well chuffed with it, and it sounds much better too.

Hey

I'm having a 'mare with my RCD330. Unless I deny microphone access via android auto I get an echo whilst on the phone. Revoking access to the mic via android auto renders the unit useless as I can't use Google assistant so I may as well re install the old radio.

How did yours fail?
