Pure Grey Weekender Conversion
After many years of Transporter conversions I’ve down sized to a Maxi
First job was empty the woodwork out and fit the rear seats.
Fitted the panel with panel bonding and welding, plus the bolts though the floor. I like the belts and braces approach.

Re: Pure Grey Weekender Conversion
So the last few days have been spent insulating, sound deadening and lining
Carpet and fabric lining in two tone, did this in my last T6 and said never again- until next time!
Hopefully should get the windows in before the end of the week.

You’ve made a great start already and quite like the colour combo on the carpet

Purple carpet is going it’s just left over from previous owner, but will do as a template for the Altro.

Re: Pure Grey Weekender Conversion
Today was to get rid of the purple carpet and fit some Altro.
Taking a little longer with the cold, so having to use a heat gun to soften it.
Definitely looks better already.
Diminish trimming and windows tomorrow.

Re: Pure Grey Weekender Conversion
Roof lining finished today, made a new panel then covered to match the rest.
Then modified B pillars trimmed and covered to match the rear.
And windows fitted, starting to feel like I am getting somewhere.
Tomorrow the cardboard comes out and the cabinets will be planned.
Hoping to get a sink, hob, fridge and bed in the back.

Had a rough plan in my head.

Got the units fully fitted, along with the top pelmet shelf. Along with led lights under the shelf and in both cupboards.
When time permits I will make a cutlery draw and the bed.
Can’t decide how to make the bed, want something to fold down from the side so it’s out of the way, along the Reimo lines.

The van looks to be a good example, the carpet and vinyl colour combination looks well

I always say to myself I’m not using the headliner for the walls again, but just can’t help myself.

Re: Pure Grey Weekender Conversion
Two stage fold down from the side, I have a couple of ideas, one using prt of a sofa bed frame, the other just using ply, second option is probably easier so knowing me I will go for the hard option first.
