Caddy R32 build

Post by hef355 »

@CaddyR32

Just come across your thread now. Seems we also share a passion for the VR6! Looking forward to see this progress and how you tackle the 4 motion too. Have a look at my and @james400 build threads as we’ve both done 4 motion but used different methods and suspension set ups. The 4 motion with dsg and launch is just great fun and transforms the vans handling

I used the Audi 3.2V6 in my first conversion with manual box. Great engine and you’ll enjoy it so much. Now upgraded to R36 which starts at 300bhp standard and dsg which is super slick! Planning for 450bhp or a little more.

Also building a mk1 Caddy which will also have a V6 from the Porsche Cayenne.

Yep, safe to say i love a VR6

Always here to help if i can Jason!

Good luck, Hef

Hi Hef, sorry I've only just seen your post! Thanks for the kind words of encouragement! its no small undertaking but I'm looking forward to the challenge! I will definitely be taking you up on your offer of help! Thank you!

I've just got to finish a Subaru underside restoration for a customer and then I can get cracking with the Caddy! should be done with the scooby in the next 2 weeks so the updates will start coming thick and fast!

Awesome, I’m about to start the same journey but at the moment only going 2wd.
Just in the process of looking for an Audi A3 donor.
Exciting times. 👏🏾

Hi, unfortunately thus project was shelved 2 months ago due to an increase in work load and the spare time just not being available. I've sold the Caddy...

Cheers
Jason.

Oh that’s such a shame, I’ve just bought a 3.2 so I’ll be doing it shortly. All the best
