£1200! That’s mega pricy! I got mine for £200, new engine and a front wishbone bush and it’s back on the road. Your vans coming along nicely. Wish mine was white. Like you it’s on a mega tight budget but built with crap left over from years of hoarding VW bits. That scirocco is gorgeous too! Beetle what year? I’ve got a late shape RHD notchback, pretty rare and with 260ish HP.

The notch must fly with that much go .

My Beetle is a ‘68 .
Got the body off at the mo to do repairs & mods .

This is definitely a slow / budget build , most of my spare time is spent on the bug .

Same here, Engine had to go on the back burner while all this Covid-19 stuff has been going on. Had it professionally built in 2019, and just getting wiring connected now, once all running, it’s engine out again and spray the engine bay, fit new tarboard and replace. I’m going for a removable rear valence to make engine removal easier in the future Decklid is genuine Cabriolet from a 64, need to get more air into the engine

Your beetle looks wicked! I’d be well happy to have that in my fleet. Would love my notch to have some patina. Not the case though. Can tell you’ve been bitten with the VW bug lol. I’ve got quite a collection at the moment too.

Here my boy. Not to everyone’s taste but he’s built for speed. He can keep up with a 3.2 911 and he’s still running a stock engine. I’ve had him since 2006 and couldn’t ever sell him.

I did the removable rear valance , can pull & fit the engine easily on my own now with just a trolley jack .

Cheers , I’ve always been into VW’s , but this is the first time allof them are VW .

So today I finished fitting the suspension , not sure I’m happy with the front .
It seems a bit high , but the coilovers are wound right down & i’ve done the hub mod .

Maybe i need some MK5 golf ones ??

Hopefully on the road next month , now my insurance company have decided to do what i pay them for .
