Benji's MK4 2.0TDI project

Post by Benjiiiz »

Hi there from Norway.

Bought this Caddy last month and really enjoying it.

Was looking for one that had sliding doors on both side and here in Norway it was not easy to find..

It is a 2.0TDI 102 PS Highline from 2016 with 146.000 km.

It is nicely equipped I would say. Rear view camera, ACC, heated mirrors, LED/xenon, webasto heater with remote, DAB, heated seats, painted side door covers (!), comfort wall etc.

Done so far:
* Sedox stage 2 remap 185 PS
* LED 6000K in fog lights
* 19" 8.5 ET43 225/35/R19

Plans:
*Coilovers (AP coilovers laying around, waiting on help from my friend)
* TRC front lip and side skirts (ordered)
* Fixing rust on wheel arch rear side back and tailgate (will be delivered to painter 23.04)
* Tint back window 5% and front windows 15% (must approve my coilovers first)
* Heko wind deflectors (ordered)
* Fix fog light grill (out of place, must take bumper off I guess)
* New sun visor bracket clip (broken off)
*Rear wiper delete (ordered, waiting on delivery)

When I bought it:

So I would like to make a post regarding remap.

These 2.0TDI CR has huge potensial!

Mine is original a 102 PS with 5 speed manual transmission.

People claim around 180-200 PS on these with remap and 350-400 NM.

I was a bit nervous on such huge power output, but I gave it a shot with Sedox.

Thing is now absolutely a monster with their "stage 2" with 185 PS and 370 NM.

My car has been used pretty ruff and has 146.000 km on it, so i was scared for the clutch.

It took around 1 hour to get it remapped by the company. Testdrove it with them and WOW!

No clutch slipping, limp mode or errors.

It pulls really well and it is day and night difference. Highly recommended to get these remapped! :twisted:

Here in Norway they tend to salt the roads at the winter and VW in general does not tackle that so well.

I already have rust that will be taken care of tomorrow. Picture to show up it is on my 2016 already! :(

Grill to my foglight is not sitting correctly on this side and to my suprise I found out I must remove the front bumper to get access to put it correctly.

So that must be done very soon, just trying to get some motivation :?

Hope it is not to hard of a job.
