Re: Red MK3 CNG Build
Yes i have teh Factory fitted heater installed in my Caddy. From my understanding and some short reserch in the service manual and trought the Parts lists there is no Webasto heater installed like it wood be in a disel version of a caddy.

Again, thank you for your reply! If you don't have Webasto heater of any kind, like pre-heater or auxiliary heater, could you tell me the PR-Code of what you have? Maybe you have the electric PTC heater, which is integrated into the ventilation box? Sorry for the many questions, I am investigating the possibility for retrofitting heater in my CNG Caddy.

Re: Red MK3 CNG Build
My Van has automatic air conditioning installed. In the ac unit istself is a heater installed Partnumber:
1K0963235F. It shoulb be Nr. 17 in this diagram https://volkswagen.7zap.com/ImgsWaterma ... 820200.png.
There schould be the option of an additional heater from Webasto Partnumber: 1K0815007BK (for petrol engine). Shuld be Nr. 1 in this diagram https://volkswagen.7zap.com/ImgsWaterma ... 819700.png. From all i can see it should be possible to run this part but am absolutly not sure about it.
As far as i can tell, i don´t have it installed in my Caddy.

Re: Red MK3 CNG Build
Thank you for the detailed answer! So, you got so called "dumb" electric air heater, without CAN communication, which is controlled via relays.
The only way to know for sure if you have additional heater is to make scan, and if you have 18 module present, than you have additional fuel heater.

Re: Red MK3 CNG Build
@mk3boy Hello and thank you for your effort, much appreciated! I think that no CNG Caddy was ever factory fitted with Webasto heater! Eventually in the cold northern European regions.
