Seat coversion

Have just started the rear seat coversion on my 2016 Caddy.
I’ll be uploading photos and some progress details (problems!) as I go.
The plan:
Rear seats from Caddy life,
Rear seat belts,
Rear carpets (with storage) from Touran,
New plastic sill trims etc
Bulkhead cutting
New interior panels and storage,
New headlining with additional lights
Parcel shelf, sound proofing etc etc.....
Watch this space!

Question, for the rears can we use any seats?

@JeffJam31

Usually people use Caddy Maxi seats or Touran seats as the floorpan is the same so both can be fitted as Factory (middle seat seatbelt for touran seats is a little awkward so many opt for maxi seats for that reason).
Other than the very basic bench seat in the factory crew vans I haven't seen any other seats fitted in a Caddy personally.

Okay, I may try it because I found a good deal on a full GTI interior.

If it’s only drilling holes and fitting inserts it should be fine.

Though I’m guessing caddy seats are easier to live with.

I hope you make a thread on it as I'm intrigued to see how you get on! A full tartan GTI interior would look very smart!

Edition 30 would be even better, part leather and heated fronts

Heated seats are really nice but it’s nowhere near cold enough here to use them.

But the leather gets searing hot in the summer.

Caddy life seats, seat belts, fixings and rear carpet,
Touran floor carpet with storage boxes
Sill trims from vw
Headlining from Caddy life Maxi (had to cut it down!)
I can only add 1 photo at a time if there’s anything you want let me know!

Have also fitted the wheel arch covers.
Im not really impressed with these- they are not particularly strong and will crack very easily as I use this for my work tools.

Next on the list is to sort the storage:
Sliding door card and offside panel card with storage for rear passengers,
Parcel shelf and wheel arch covers to give a flat load area when the seats are folded,
Storage on the rear doors,
Any other clever solutions I can find....!
Will keep you posted thanks!
