Thought I would create a build thread to update people with my journey. I’ve got a plan in my head to go down the “caddy camper” route. But not fully. Still want the perks of having a van as well as having a camper! I go fishing quite a bit so I need to room for all the gear!
My Instagram is @js_caddy2k if anyone would like to follow.
It’s going to be a long journey but hopefully I’ll be happy when it’s done!
Picture below to show where I’ve started, it’s already been modified previously but I want to make it my own!
Thanks for stopping by, more updates to come!
Joe

Re: @js_caddy2k
Firstly, the ride height was too low and rather impractical. It looked good and sat well but I struggled to get over speed bumps and on the drive. With me using the van for fishing it would have really been a hinderance.
After analysing the existing coil-overs, I realised they were seized and I wouldn’t be able to adjust them.
So moving on, I ordered the Stance+ ones from stanced uk after trawling the forum to find the best value for money(for now). Hoping to eventually move on to a set of Billy’s.
Took the height up by 20mm, I’m not a fan of the arch gap but it makes it a lot more practical!
Thanks for looking

Secondly, a new splitter. The one which came with the van was only cheap and nasty. Not well made whatsoever! I liked the look of the Triple R composites one. Also gives the van a lowered look
