Rate my insulating and lining

Post by WoolvinePH »

Hey guys.
New to the website, wish I would've discovered this treasure trove before I'd finished this.
What do you think?
My first attempt at any kind of mods in a vehicle. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Kingspan and expanding foam is usually a better choice when insulating vans but looks ok.

Just keep an eye on it for condensation build up, as Sitting water will rust it fairly quickly.

Thanks for your reply.
I have been keeping an eye on it, I have a roof vent though so think that helps alot.
Cheers

I'm looking to add a roof vent. Do the wind driven vents do a decent job? I'm assuming they do very little in low wind speeds.

I sat in the back for a short trip once and the draft it kicked out was alot mOre than I expected.. Stationary they don't do much to be honest when it's hit, I'm sure they do provide ventilation though from condensation and stop it getting too stuffy.

Nice job 👍

Looking to do something similar

What was total cost of materials and did you cut ply yourself?

Off the top of my head.

Ply lining kit-£120
Loft lagging - acquired for free
Silver bubble lagging - about 40 quids worth

Not a great cost and if I did it again I'd put less loft lagging in the ceiling as its bulging my ceiling. Struggled to get the pins back in but had already gone too far.

Hi,

I bought this kit, give them a call. I think they will do individual sections if you only want e.g. the side wall panels. Looking back on it my glad I bought the kit as it would have been a difficult getting side walls panels correct due to the curvature.
