Would be nice to have those things working!

Dropped off this morning for it's mapping with Zen Sport in Braintree, I've used them a few times in the past and always had great results. I'm not one to chase numbers I just want gains across the board and make things more drivable, they have a great history with VW's specifically the Transporter and Caddy so should be interesting to see what they can do with it.

Collected the Maxi from the mappers, all round health check was good, have been advised to not use Supermarket fuel though and run BP or Shell with the first couple of tanks being the higher quality stuff.

They said the engine is a little clogged up but running some fuel additives and cleaners it'll help to get rid of most of it out the back, I wasn't overly surprised as I am fairly sure the service history of it wasn't brilliant, which I why I've been getting all those bits done and sorted prior to having anything else modded.

Figures though are 140bhp and 320Nm, noticeably better and has much more go about it where before it did seem to lack in any useable power delivery.

Now to make the brakes work better than a soggy RichTea biscuit after a good dunking!

Couple small jobs ticked off whilst waiting for 8 hole rear shackle plates to raise the rear up more.

Carpeted rear boot panel.

New tailgate handle.

Installed rear camera and ran cables through to rear ready to run to front and connect.

Woops........

This is the result of a lowering kit not being installed quite right, which I have explained here: https://www.caddy2k.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=48005

All is well now though, all be it I need to patch up the inner arch... and the Caddy is sitting level and driving really well on the new shocks and springs for the firat time since I started the work.

I chose to raise the rear up using the 8 hole rear shackles from Darkside which gave me another 40mm, so the front can now hopefully settle better as it isn't being pulled up by the rear being so low. The ride height suits where I live well and the use of the van overall, I'll probably look to get some new wheels for it later in the year, likely some 18/19 inch ones.

Either way, happy with how it is sitting now, but does need a wash!

Hi, do the auto light switch kits work okay? I wasn’t sure whether they would be as effective as the factory fitted version or even if they are the same? And where did you mount the photocell?

Some big improvements there 👍

Build looks great and you've done a lot to improve it!
I've got the same model Maxi Life here in Aus, 2 questions:
- What steering wheel did you use as the replacement & was it a simple swap (button functions excluded obviously)?
- For the rear speakers, did you replace them/what were they? One of mine is shot and needs upgrading.

TIA :-)
