Ex BG Van to Adventure Base Camp

Hi everyone,
We recently bit the bullet and purchased our first van, looking to convert it in to a base for our adventures around the UK. It’s a 2015 ex BG 1.6 Caddy Maxi.
We currently have use of a touring caravan, so this won’t be a camper as such, more a day van / cheeky overnight stop off van. Something we can use for extended day trips while we explore the UK with a dog and camera in tow.
Looking at all your builds and reading all the trials and tribulations of owning a van is providing us with loads of valuable information. So, as we progress along our journey we hope to add to this thread with what we have discovered along the way too.
Having stripped out all the BG shelving, we are now looking to do all the necessary touch ups to the paint, sound proof and insulate the van, add some storage (both on the dash by covering some of the existing trays etc and also in the rear by boxing off the wheel arches), and sort out the foot wells so they are protected. Should be enough to keep us going for a while
