Cheers bud. I had to get a snips and trim off the location tabs in the dash hole which stops the originals from turning in their hole and to stop the new ones turning I used a strip of double sided tape around the vent which you can’t see.
The S3 vents also needed the 8V 3D printed adaptors from eBay for £20 the set.

@Jackfrost
Do it mate, it makes such a difference to the feel in there. I also stuck some Noico to the roof when the panels were down and stuck a piece of plastic bottle insulation to the roof. The van is so much plusher and quieter now since the back is gone too. It’s like driving a car with no drone from the empty load area.

Not been in here for a while. Life getting in the way.

Just picked up a set of aftermarket 19” Audi rims from an A4 estate. Look to have spent their life in a swamp! Only £100 the set so can’t complain.
They had weird stainless plates between the spokes which were in bad condition so they had to go. Unfortunately once I tried to undo the retaining bits they snapped off the plate and were left in the wheels……all fkn 40 of them!!!

Spend a few hours with the welder, welding stainless to each one so I could spin off the nylocs.

Spend another few hours dressing the kerbed edges so my wheel guy can paint them.

They looked like this….

Now they look like this. Only down side is two holes in each spoke. Should look nice once painted gloss black.

Cheers peeps.

Washed the old girl last night so I could hit the ground running this morning.
Clay barred the whole vehicle, before running the mop over it with 3M fast cut, before hitting it with some polish.
Wax next before hitting the black stuff and cleaning the glass.

Looks like my 19’s are ready to collect.
What’s the best tyres to fit without risk of fouling on the rear door guys?

Wheels fitted. Finally went with 225/40/19 as the were only 8” anyway and 40 profile to give a little more compliance to reduce the risk of any further cracks.

Not much done guys other than a few minor bodywork bits.
Used rear bumper (£20) painted Reflex Silver and bonnet protector fitted.

Really enjoyed reading your thread, I want to go a similar way with my build. :D
Where did you get the suede from and do you know if they do a darker shade of it ?
