My 2013 VW Caddy 2.0 TDI

As I said in a previous post, I sold my 2007 Caddy viewtopic.php?f=13&t=39945 and I bought a 2013 model. Compared with the older one this one has better specifications, more option , a slightly bigger engine and more gearsImage. Because of the emission laws here in Belgium I was looking for a euro 5 model ( wanted a euro 6 but they are to expensive for my budget). Most of the Caddy are 1.6 5speed but I really wanted a 2.0 6speed because I drive a lot on the highway so I started to search for one in Netherlands, and I found this one.
So is a 2013 model, 2.0 TDI 140BHP, 6 speed manual.
Colour coded bumpers and mirrors, fog lights with cornering, towing hook, leather MFSW, RNS 315 sat nav, light and rain sensor, refrigerated glove box, OEM parking sensors and camera, cruise control, manual AC ( a downgrade compared with the prefacelift which had Climatic).
Unfortunatelly I didn't keep any of the mods from the older one, except for the 17 inch R line wheels which I will install them later. For the moment will stay with the 16 inch Audi A6 wheels that came with the car.
Here are some pictures with the van untouched ( for the moment Image)ImageImageImageImageImageImage

@Simon g taylor Thanks mateImage
I forgot to mention one option, auto dimmimg rear view mirror, I never expected to find a Caddy with this option so it was like a bonus for meImage
For starters, I began to change some of the lights with LED's, I don't like at all the yellow halogen light. ImageImageImageImageImage

I bought some goodies for the Caddy: Passat B6 heated seats, leather&alcantara, driver's seat is semielectric, touran armrest, seat bases with storage and carpets. They are a bit dirty so they need a good clean before I mount them into the car. The seats need also some paint in a few areas because of the wear.
Does anyone know what this bulky FS button from the console does?

Nice seats. Can't wait to see them in there. I got a set of almost the same semi electric but full leather and I actually prefer these look and feel wise over a newer ones. Great to see you got them cleaned too I always stayed away from alcantara as it looks too tired after a while and looking forward to see them in.

@sewi Thanks mateImage your seats are also very nice. I wanted also full leather but this set was the best I could find, the alcantara is in pretty good shape.
I got the parts all cleaned, they are looking much better nowImageImageImageImage

Sound deadening and carpets are in. Was a bit of a struggle to put everything in place, beeing first time doing that. On my prefacelift Caddy I didn't do this step. I had to cut in two pieces the rear carpet, I don't think there is other way to mount it, or is it?Image I hope the road noise will be minimised. It's looks better now anyway, so still worth itImageImageImageImageImageImage

Touran armrest is in place. I also used the touran "subframe" if I can call it like thisImage and all the mounting points so the armrest is pretty solid , like factoryImageImageImageImage

How do you rate the armrest now? Do you find it useful? I got this mod too and find it a bit underwhelming tbh. Too low and still too far back to be any use for me so it stays only for the looks of it.

For me the armrest is a must have. I really wanted one because I find it very handy and confortable. Was very anoying to drive without it, I had it before on my 2007 Caddy and I have it on my other car.
If I slide it foward the position is just right for me👌
So for me is a 10/10😅

Even if I installed the seats almost two monts ago I didn't have time to make some pictures, but here they areImage. I still have to connect the wires in the fuse box and to install the new AC panel in order to make the seat heating to work. Hopefully I'll do it before the winter is goneImage Overall I am very happy with this seats, functional and visual, much better than the Caddy original seats

Yes indeed, seat heating is a real blessing, especially in this period of time😅
