Finally a new daily van :D
Hi caddy2k world!
I'm new here and have just made the transition from a warrior Peugeot Partner to an awesome Caddy 2.0 Tdi 2018
My Old friend, been with me the past 6 years
Sadly the new caddy just survived nearly 2 months before this happened :
A BMW X1 hit me at 80 kph
But luckily I where uninjured and the insurance company was swift to pay out so a identical Caddy was bought (without the livery though)
The new caddy at the dealers:
Mod goals for this van:
+ Window tint
+ Sun strip on the windscreen
+ Wind deflectors
+ Rear wing addon
+ Paint bumpers silver
+ More to come

Re: Finaly a new daily van [emoji1]
Thanks!
Got some small stuff done today:
Tinted the rear windows (just got one photo )
And made a sunstrip from the tint leftovers
I think it turned out pretty good No more feeling of driving around in an "aquarium"
Will try to fit led bulbs tomorrow (4xH7's).
They seem like a pain in the *** to fit, and requires special retainers.
Will save up for bi-xenons in the future, but ebay leds will do for now

Hi and wellcome! Sad to hear that the first Caddy had such a tragic death, I hope everybody was fine .
What are the specs of this second Caddy? Some pictures with the interior would be also nice

Thanks!
Both where unharmed, I just got a bursted eardrum from the impact noise and side airbag
I recon the caddy is a pretty safe car, atleast safer than the old partner
It's a 2.0 tdi 102hp (sadly no 4motion)
It has the large radio with app connect and the so-called comfort wall(?) for better leg room
Just got it tuned at the local Quantum tuner and now it pulls like a train

Re: Finaly a new daily van :D
Got around and changed the headlight bulbs today
This would be the "mod" I'm the least proud of
Had some Novsight f06 H7 bulbs laying around and I earlier discovered the "beautiful" retainer mechanism...
Having received new retainers for the led bulbs I went on with fitting the bulbs assuming it would be a straight fit.
And it didn't go quite as planned
Because it weren'ta straight fit
Had to grind down the led bulb coolers, glue the retainer to the bulb base.
And even glue the bulb base to the bulb
It was a mess...
But after a while they where installed, with far better light output (and some glare of course )
But I'm certain now that I will retrofit bi-xenons next year
The pictures speaks for itself

Re: Finaly a new daily van :D
I finally got the bumpers painted
Those textured plastic bumper where tricky af to paint
And since the car has been used on salted roads the rear bumper plastic had sooo much salt soaked into the plastic.
But after 2 attempts I think it came out pretty decent
The spoiler addon and sliding door rail needs to be redone before fitting.
And for now I'm out of paint
Planing on buying a set of Ocean Cruise 19x8,5" in gun metal/anthracite.
I'm considering a front splitter too....
Any suggestions?

Re: Finaly a new daily van :D
Good work on the bumpers. I've read quite a few times on this forum of members doing this with not so great results.
I believe the popular one to fit is the TRC front splitter.
I see this product used quite abit on the vw golf scene so must be good quality.
I'm not sure if it is vw approved part though, could be wrong mind you.

Thanks!
Yeah, the first attempt was horrible
I will look out for that type of splitter, thanks!

Re: Finally a new daily van :D
Small update:
Did some chrome delete on the grille and fitted a black VW emblem.
The chrome in the headlights kinda annoys me though.

I beleive you can carefully split the head lights and colour the internal chrome strips.
Was the arm rest a factory fit?

Almost...Scoobysrt wrote:Was the arm rest a factory fit?
The base is model-specific and fits right behind the handbrake lever.
It's secured in place by 4 self-tapping screws on the sides of the console.
I'd prefer the caddy life armrest since it's more rugged but I got this fairly cheap
(15 £ )
The one thing I don't like with the one I have is it doesn't move farther back.
I'd like to be able to rest my elbow right beside the seat back (if that makes any sense) #awesomegrammar

That's a good price.
It looks great with the coloured bumpers
