slow progress as im in no rush at the minute but i though i had enough done to post some pictures
i went for the flashband method of sound deadening as it was a lot cheaper and i planned to put plenty of insulation in to help.
i covered all single skin panels and the floor for good measure.. (hadnt finished the sides in this pic)

cut a hole out behind the passenger seat to open up the footwell for easier access.. eventually decided to do the same for the drivers side
covered the floor with 3 layers of double sided Airtec insulation and uses ply as joists to support the floor off the insulation.

covered the wheel arch with 2 layers of insulation

i didnt like how the ply was loose at the rear of the van so i made a ply form to attach the sides to and make it rigid

3 layers of insulation on the walls

i didnt want to just carpet onto the wheel arch so i ply lined it too keeping as much space for the inside as i could

ply on the walls and a roof panel in

nearside wheel arch done.

i want to use this wheel arch as a back rest.. i dont really like rock and roll beds so im not going down that route.
my plan is to just sit\lie on the floor on cushions and an airbed or roll mat to sleep on.
so i covered it in 1 inch of Firm foam

carpeting done on the walls( doors still to do)
and a 240v and 12v feeds fun under the floor
battery will be going behind the drivers seat in the footwell

wooden floor in, really wanted solid oak or burnt bamboo but unfortunately it was a little too expensive for me.
im happy with the oak laminate for free from my girlfriend.
I also decided to put units in the van too for storage.. it makes the sleeping area a lots smaller but i only intend in sleeping in it by myself or with the girfriend so i dont mind it being cosy then.
the rough size of the units is masked off.

unit frames almost done. no idea of door configuration yet so need to have a play.

lining the frames with the ply.
my original idea was to use the ply as a temporary measure then use the ply as a template for the laminated ply units but i like the ply and just waiting for some inspiration as to how to finish it.. i have some ideas floating around but not sure yet

another view. i can fit a fridge in there too between the wall and wheel arch.
im looking at a vitrifrigo 40L.. not exactly sure of the size of the cut out in the fridge where the detachable compressor goes. im hoping i can mount it a little over the wheel arch which will stop the units from protruding past the door.. the unit at the minute is worst case scenario. so im not too worried.
altho it may be some time before i can justify £480 for a car fridge

loads left to do but happy with it so far
