Jedi-knight83. 19" S8 Alloys. VMAX coilovers. FOR SALE

Post by jedi-knight83 »

Hello

Just bought a 55 plate 1.9tdi caddy for work.

Silver
15" vw alloys
Aircon
Elec windows / mirrors
Parking sensors

Picking it up saturday so will detail it and get some proper photos.

Image

Plan to have it on the 18" bbs wheels and maybe lower a little and the chrome side bars. Would also like a mild power increase on the standard engine. and maybe some nice R32 seats and xenons

I like the racing caddy theme but I'd be more inclined to keep it simple.
Might give some graphics a shot tomorrow.
Stuck a set of CHs on it and rubbed out the side stripes for now.
Ed would make a better job of this in about 25 seconds I'd reckon.

Ok here is a few quick pics of the interior work so far... all been stripped out cleaned, painted, fitted back properly so its not all loose, floor down, rear windows boarded in

Tank is also in now but no pics of that yet. and still need to paint a few edges but its getting there.

actually i dont like it with the strips removed. leaves too much of a big space without any trim breaking it up.

Nath - that inside looks fantastic. Any chance of letting us know exactly what you did, e.g, what the floor is, what paint you used etc?

Thats a wicked finish on the inside, I'm officially ashamed of the little bit of work I've done to mine in 5 months, you've done more in 5 days.
I'll take the tools out of mine tomorrow and get a few pics of the floor I put in.

As for the BBS wheels, I've a set sitting in my garage, Ex Edition 30 golf!

its getting there... im also completely sound insulating the cabin so it doesnt sound like im driving a van the whole time. Almost finished that part aswell.

Its all pretty basic stuff. All the ply lining was already cut and installed but badly fitted. it was all given 3 coats of matt black paint rollered on although ive got to finish off the edges tomorrow with a smaller roller or brush.

The floor is just standard kitchen lino flooring. about 3sq meters worth and was about £30. its nice and rubberised and seems pretty durable.

The rear cages were also already installed so i just cut and painted some 4mm marine ply to fill them in. The battons on the inside will be the mounts for clips for all my megs spray bottles in the end.

the tank is now very temporarily in as i have to work with it the next couple of days.. but the build will continure again next week and shouldnt take too much longer .... hopefully!

Nath - I'm going to shamelessly copy what you've done because it looks so so much better than the plain wood. I never thought to paint it black in all honesty!

Cool, Sound insulating!
That was goin to be my next job after I get the wheels sorted.
What did you use for it?
I had thought about putting my DW banner across the bulkhead to kind of keep the noise and the cold comin farward!
My cousin has insulated the back of his berlingo with loads of bubble wrap behind the plylining and it worked wonders, sound and heat insulation in one. he works in a furniture factory so getting the vast quantity of bubble wrap he neaded wasnt a problem.

ive used pre wrapped loft insulation. You can get it fro B&Q for about £10 which will be a roll long enough to do the whole bulk head... you'll just have to work out how to attach it... im sticking it between the OEM plastic bulkhead and the new wooden one im building for my shelves
