My *nato* C20 Workhorse/MTB bus
Picked this up at the weekend
Plans are to sort some shelving out in the rear to clear some floorspace of my work tackle, Roofbars, Touran seats/bases as the standard seats and cabin storage are abit rubbish IMO. Lows, Wheels, Remap and whatever else takes my fancy...It'll be a slow burner though as I'm skint now

Cheers guys I was holding out for a colour coded one with electric pack! Body wise is pretty mint but I have spotted one of the front arches has started to rust so I'd best nip that in the bud. A mate has some amg wheels I'll gonna try do a deal on once it's low.

Re: My Silver C20 Workhorse/MTB bus
Have a look in the more detailed areas of the forum when you get access, there is a sponge like object in front wings that collects moisture and therefore causes rust.
Before attaching it with your own bodyshop/painter. It's a 10 year bodywork warranty from vw so try them first. Nothing to loose

Nice van that bud, save you a bit of dosh starting out! Yes the wings are a weak link every van I've done I've swapped wings as said above there are big sponge things between wings and arch liners, try and pull them out as they just gather dirt and moisture hence damage. Plus if your going to be doing all van you'll want your van looking nice and not wanting more rust coming through. Not hard you can actually get them without taking off liners through engine bay
cheers Paul

Re: My Silver C20 Workhorse/MTB bus
12 months later I'll update this haha. Had a 140 remap, darkside SMF/clutch, Vmaxx coilovers fitted, AMG monoblocks fitted, Touran seats/bases plus afew other odds and sods. Also recently had a small fortune spent on the ABS control module as it threw the toys out of the pram.
Got some spare headlights to black mask soon, want sort a fruity exhaust aswell!

Re: My Silver C20 Workhorse/MTB bus
5 year bump lol. Still got it, its now green though. Still suffering intermittant ABS sensor issues but overall serving me well! Ideally I'd quite like to 'swamper' it as it'd be much better for work accessing some jobs
Got some Audi A5 speedlines to go on soon, though TBH I really want some banded steels. Was gonna replace it with a Mk4 2.0 maxi this year but the used van market has gone crazy so I'll hang onto this old heap for a while

I kinda like the matt green finish and the face lift touran front end. Its growing on me. Never really liked it before but looks spot on.
