Elsawin no longer works in Windows 10

I have upgraded my PC's to W10 and Elsawin no longer fires up.

When I try to reinstall it comes up as 'Unlicensed Version'.

Mine is the DVD version not the VM download. Anyone with the same problem and more importantly found a fix?

I had a similar issue with etka only working on 32bit windows so a mate who knows what he's doing sorted a virtual pc to run 32bit windows 7 on my windows 8 pc, and the handy thing is, if you need to rebuild the pc, you can copy the folder where the program is installed and then reinstall it without having to go through the process of reinstalling elsawin. Not sure how easy it is to do but he always uses VMware for my virtual PCs.

Thanks for that I do also have the VM version.

I will give it a go but I was never happy with VM virtual as it slowed the pc too much..........

I wonder if that's a settings issue. Something like it needs more memory allocation for the cpu cache if that's even something that can be altered or causes the pc to slow down. I run out of talent very early on when it comes to computers!

some thing to do there is make a suitable partition on the hard drive pre install of the operating system then you can run the VMware app from that partition, then it doesnt effect the primary OS

or you could do it on a usb flash drive

Yep I might even bung a spare Hard Drive in and try running it from that......Thanks

It's a shame as the DVD version made no impact on the computer speed.
