Brooneye's build

Post by brooneye »

Well I thought it was about time I put progress thread together as I'm slowly starting to add to the caddy.

How I bought it back in January with the first job of putting my private reg on

Then the metal strips down the side of the doors were looking a bit grubby so had them sprayed gloss black
Image

Managed to get hold of a spare pair of handles so had them sprayed gloss black as well. Just got to figure out how to get sliding door handle off to change that
Image

Also had a set of vibe slick component speakers in the loft that I never got round to putting in my last car do I thought I would try them in the van and must say they are a vast improvement

More to come in the future as a lot of you guys on here have given me inspiration when reading through your threads

Dave

Nice start mate. Was it easy to get the front handles off? Your original ones you replaced these with, do you still have them? Just I'm looking for a spare set to do the same

Took advantage of the nice weekend and decided to rip the old carpet out the back of the van and put sound deadening in and re carpet all the ply as I was not happy with it

My number plate surrounds arrived today so I thought I'd put them straight on and pleased with the look of them

Got finished work early so I decided to tackle how to mount the LED strip that was already in the van when I bought it. Had a rummage around in the garage and found some wood that was left over and decided to make a frame that will screw to the roof. Once was happy I glued the led strip to this and this is what I ended up with
Image

Just waiting for the glue to go off and then I can trim the ply to cover it
